Anyone know how I can break into the government sector with a Master of Public Administration? I'm one class from completion of this degree. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

What school? Look for public government events, meet people. Know what agency you want to work for - it's easier if you're passionate about one thing, i.e. education, the elderly. In government, getting hired is based on who you know, not always what you know.

It depends. Do you have an MPA from a reputation school? If so, then they should have career counseling help. Or did you get it online at University of Phoenix or some other diploma mill? It's pretty simple, start applying for jobs where you live. Any local government (city, county, village, town, etc.) should have a website with employment listings online. Having an MPA is a great way to start a career in local government. Also, visit your state's website and click on employment opportunities to see what state jobs are available. I suggest you also try interning or volunteering. You'll need some experience on your resume for some jobs. Good luck.
